Wine tourism events

  • Saint-Vincent Tournante: for more than 80 years, wine-growing villages in Burgundy have been honoring wine during this event taking place at the end of January. 
  • Hospices de Beaune Wine Sale: Meet on the third Sunday in November, for a weekend of celebration and tasting in the pure Burgundian tradition. 

Sporting events

  • Côte Chalonnaise Wine Marathon: Towards the end of March, register for a race, marathon, or hike that will take you through the most beautiful landscapes of the Côte Chalonnaise.
  • Tour de France: The Tour de France regularly passes through the region, very close to Bed and Bourgogne. Recently, it passed less than 3 km away on the road from Mâcon to Dijon; in 2026, the finish line was in Chalon-sur-Saône; in 2027, the finish was in Le Creusot... Don't miss this event in July.

Cultural events

  • Carnival of Chalon: for 10 days, the city becomes party. The carnival is held every year from the end of February to the beginning of April.
  • Chalon dans la rue: around mid -July, the festival is a reference: street arts, digital arts, live shows and performances, many forms of art are represented.
